Culture – Several meanings are commonly associated with this multi-faceted term that we all seem to use every day, but, often, with a vaguely undefined or specific meaning.
For example, a colleague working at a university in downtown Beijing probably sees and feels his/her environment through filtered images that emanate from childhood experiences. Yet, another colleague or friend living in Buenos Aries might be viewing events in industrial China in a simultaneous fashion as that of your colleague in Beijing but with entirely different conclusions. All fundamental human responses to outside events remain, it would seem, subject to personal rearrangements – even distortions – that form a personal point of view.
